Lung Cancer (EarlyCDT)

Because your health matters.

The Lung Cancer (EarlyCDT) blood test measures your autoantibody response to 7 proteins produced by lung cancer cells. This can help find lung cancer at an early stage, before symptoms appear. When cancer is found early, it may be easier to treat or cure. By the time symptoms appear, the cancer may have grown and spread, making it harder to treat.

Our private Lung Cancer (EarlyCDT) test is a quick, easy, and accurate way to assess lung cancer risk. It can be added as an individual test to any of our existing packages.

What is a Lung Cancer (EarlyCDT)

test?

The Lung Cancer (EarlyCTD) test is a blood test that measures your antibody response to seven proteins produced by lung cancer cells. The test result is reported as a low, moderate or high risk. If the test result is reported as moderate or high, then it is highly likely that lung cancer will be present. In this instance you will need to undertake further testing arranged by your own GP.

Who should consider a Lung Cancer (EarlyCDT)

test?

  • The Lung Cancer (EarlyCDT) test is usually only suitable for those aged over 50 who smoke or have a history of smoking, as the risk of lung cancer outside this group is very low

  • You may also consider this test if you have a family history of lung cancer, a personal history of exposure to certain substances (such as asbestos) and/or a personal history of other lung diseases (such as COPD).
